Proffitt's Customs and Restorations is a family owned and operated HOT ROD SHOP that specializes in replacing the body wood with metal in 1928 through 1936 Chevrolets, and other GM cars and trucks.
We fabricate our metal kits to look and fit like the Fischer Body wood did in the orginals. Most parts are either 16ga. steel or square tubing. In the door hinge pillars we use 1/8" to 1/4" steel. To insure proper fit and alignment we fabricate and install the kits in our shop locate just 3 miles north of I-40. That is the only way we can insure the proper fit. Sorry! But kits are not for sale.
